Johnny Depp May Play Grindelwald In A New HBO Max Series And I’m So Excited
Two of my favorite worlds are about to collide once again, and I couldn’t be more happy about the outcome.
Johnny Depp is rumored to be in talks to possibly play Grindelwald in his own television series, that they are thinking about trying to secure to be on HBO Max.
In case you don’t know who Grindelwald is, he is the villain in the Fantastic Beasts movies. He also played a very small, yet oh-so-important role in the Harry Potter franchise.
He was the super villain of the wizarding world before Voldemort popped onto the scene. When he was a young lad, Grindelwald was friends with Albus Dumbledore. The two planned a revolution together, but things happened, as they sometime do, and the two went their separate ways.
Dumbledore eventually defeated Grindelwald in a battle to beat all other battles.
NOW, we may get a Grindelwald series on HBO Max that would tackle his interesting backstory.
Johnny Depp, who played Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts movies, is rumored to be the the obvious choice to play Grindelwald.
Fans initially didn’t like the idea of Johnny Depp playing Grindelwald. *Gasp*
Back when Johnny Depp had all his legal problems with his ex-wife, people started thinking Depp was this horrible guy. But then, as the legal battle has gone one, it seems more and more like his ex-wife is crazy may be more at fault than originally thought.
People are back to liking Johnny Depp — and for the record, I have always loved him. *Swoon*
So, this idea that Johnny will reprise his role as Grindelwald in a new Fantastic Beasts series, is pretty awesome. Fans are coming around to the idea, and it just may happen.
So, the rumor is that Warner Bros. is interested in developing a series of TV programs from the wizarding world of all things Harry Potter.
This would strengthen the content for HBO Max, which would only be a good thing for the streaming network. It would appear that Caleb William, who is the founder of Knight Edge Media, is hinting at the fact that Grindelwald could be a candidate to star in his own show.
How cool is that? I would LOVE to see a Grindelwald series — starring Johnny Depp — on the streaming channel!
Now, is this a sure thing? No. Is there any kind of production going on regarding the possible new Grindelwald series? Also, no.
These are all just rumors and hearsay at this point. But, GOOD GOSH, I hope this comes to fruition. What a cool show that would be!!
