Looks like all those people that cancelled their Disney+ memberships after the end of The Mandalorian did so prematurely — duh!

Disney has announced their next Star Wars series on Disney+, and it’s — KENOBI!

There are A LOT of rumors flying around about casting for the KENOBI series, but the only CONFIRMED cast member is Ewan McGregor.

The rumor is that Hayden Christensen and Liam Neeson might reprise their roles in this Star Wars series, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Here is what we DO know about KENOBI:

The series will be EXCLUSIVE to Disney+ — take THAT, all you Disney haters.

Kenobi will be directed by Deborah Chow, who directed two episodes of The Mandalorian — Girl Power!

The series is set to take place eight years after the event of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

So, it totally makes sense that Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan.

KENOBI will be written by Hossein Amini, who is also the writer of the movie Drive and The Four Feathers. Both are awesome films. I highly recommend them, if you haven’t yet seen them.

The show will be Executive Produced by Deborah Chow, Hossein Amini, and Ewan McGregor. John Swartz, who also worked on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will partner with them as Executive Producer, as will Kathleen Kennedy and Tracey Seaward.

KENOBI is currently in pre-production, but is definitely coming soon. Be on the lookout. And for goodness sakes, don’t cancel your Disney+ membership!

  1. Whoever wrote this is an idiot. Kenobi is not even in production yet. You can cancel your membership and rejoin when it comes out.

  2. I always thought canceling D+ was a bad idea. Anyone doing that is a Womp Rat!

  3. If the series is set 8 years after Revenge, then the only ways Hayden could reprise his role would be in flashback or as Darth Vader. If the former, he now looks a lot older than the did then, which would present a problem. If the latter, what will it matter that he’s the one under the mask anyway? Heck, even in Revenge when he was in the black mask it was still voiced by James Earl Jones.

  4. Holy f balls i blame the editor for even allowing this to be put up. Quality content we got here.

  5. 150 words and seven-odd Instagram pics. Two of which are the same.

Honestly, this sort of citizen journalism is why the quality of mainstream journalism is so poor.

  6. This “article” is a terrible read. Broaden your vocabulary, it read like a child wrote this. What was I really expecting from “totallythebomb.com” though? This contains ridiculous rumors and feministic crap. Looks like I will keep reading reputable outlets instead of clickbait links on Facebook.

    1. Haha. Poor Greg. I bet spending a day with you would be so amazing…………said nobody ever

  7. Thank you for reporting all this information.. come on now, knock off the girl power crap. How about She will be directing, she did an amazing job on the Mandalorian, Congrats to her. Leave it at that. Also… Kathleen Kennedy is involved? I hope its just in name only, because she is clueless.

    1. “Knock of the girl power crap” Hahahaha! Little dudebro is big mad. Hysterical.

  8. I’m excited for this series but don’t see any reason to currently keep Disney+. The old catalogue is cool (Disney afternoon and Star Wars clone Wars/Rebels) I’m not seeing a reason to keep it until New content comes.

The Obi-Wan series may be in preproduction (cast isn’t even finalized based on your article) but probably isn’t coming out until next year or end of the year at the earliest. I’m trying to find a reason to keep it until then but can’t find one.

    1. Kinda want to agree, they really should have had more original content ready at the launch

      1. Totally agree!! Very lacking except for the childen
