Kingdom Hearts has been a hit for YEARS. I remember playing it as a kid and LOVING it. Now my 3 year old son already has interest playing it. For now, he watches YouTube videos of other kids playing it (and I need someone to explain to me why watching other kids play games has become such a huge hit).
But now there’s another way to enjoy Kingdom Hearts, coming in hot to Disney+!
Social Media influencer, Jeremy Conrad took to social media and shared about Kingdom Hearts on Twitter, which got people talking fast. Since then, theories and ideas haven’t stopped.
Conrad said “it’s true” in reference to the game’s future plans for TV, and he backed his point up with a GIF of Sora, Goofy, and Donald. This led to Skyler Shuler of The DisInsider speaking up on the topic, and the editor-in-chief has shared what he knows about the future Disney+ title.
According to Shuler, Kingdom Hearts will be a show series on Disney+ rather than a movie. It will be CG animated, not live action as some would prefer. I’m personally more excited for it to be animated.
The Disney voice actors who appear in the video games are expected to reprise their roles in this TV show.
This talent would include Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, Tony Anselmo, and many more.
At this time, there is no word on whether the voice actors for original characters, like Sora, will return. The same goes for the franchise’s Final Fantasy characters.
As expected, fans are freaking out and super excited over this news, as am I.
The newest Kingdom Hearts video game came out last year, after almost a decade of waiting. And the graphics are crisp as ever. So that is the current hope for the upcoming show as well.
I highly doubt Disney+ would allow anything to release with bad graphics but let’s just hope they also fix their severe issue of lagging soon.
So what are your thoughts? Are you excited about this news? Nervous they’re going to mess up a good thing?
