Krispy Kreme Releases Christmas Donuts That Include Gingerbread and Red Velvet

Krispy Kreme never shies away from the opportunity of brainstorming another new flavor to match the weather outside or the current season and the proof, is simply in the baked dough.

From spring to winter, to Thanksgiving and now Christmas, Krispy Kreme has whipped up yet another round of donuts for the holidays and this time, the theme is inspired by the jolly guy in the red suit.

Dubbed “Santa’s Bake Shop”, we now know what Christmas doughnuts might taste like all the from the North Pole!

Featuring three new donuts to bring home for Christmas dinner, Krispy Kreme adds gingerbread, sugar cookie, and red velvet flavors for a holiday inspired dessert.

Starting with the new Sugar Cookie Doughnut, this Original Glazed tastes like cookies baked from the oven, featuring sugar cookie icing and topped with sugar cookie sprinkles.

For a more classic Christmas taste such as the new Gingerbread Cookie Crumb Doughnut, this donut is stuffed with gingerbread cream cheese, dipped in white icing, topped with gingerbread cookie crumbs, a holiday sprinkle blend, and drizzled with gingerbread icing!​

The Red Velvet Cake Doughnut​ is exactly how it sounds; a slice of cake, I mean a donut that’s glazed, topped with cream cheese icing, and finished with red velvet cake crumbles.

Finally, the returning fan-favorite, the Santa Belly Doughnut will also be back for the holidays which includes a Kreme filled donut, dipped in red icing, and decorated just like Santa.

The new batch of doughnuts are is if they were taken straight from Ms. Claus’ recipe book according to Krispy Kreme; you can currently snag a holiday donut the day after Thanksgiving, November 25.
