Netflix Just Revealed The Release Date For The Final Season Of Schitt’s Creek And I’m So Excited
Netflix finally announced a release date for the final season of Schitt’s Creek, and — YAY!! I’m so happy right now.
Schitt’s Creek will drop it’s final 6th season (I still can’t believe it’s over), on October 7th — which perfectly aligns with when Netflix released Season 5 last year.
Yay, David!!
This final season is the one that won all the globe statues at the Emmy Awards last Sunday. And, when I say it won all the Emmy’s — I mean EVERY. SINGLE. COMEDY. AWARD that was available, they grabbed!!
This is a HUGE accomplishment in and of itself. It’s even MORE special, because this is the FIRST time a comedy series has swept the Emmy Awards, and it couldn’t have happened to a better show!
If you weren’t watching, or haven’t heard, Schitt’s Creek ended up getting each of the 7 awards in the Comedy Series Category, PLUS two extras!
The cast was super surprised and shocked — in a great way — that they swept the category, but really, I had no doubt they could pull it off!
The entire (LONG) list of Emmy wins for Schitt’s Creek include:
- Best Actress, Comedy: Catherine O’Hara
- Best Actor, Comedy: Eugene Levy
- Supporting Actor, Comedy: Daniel Levy
- Supporting Actress, Comedy: Annie Murphy
- Writing for a Comedy Series
- Directing for a Comedy Series
- Best Comedy Series
- Best Contemporary Costumes
- Best Casting for a Comedy Series
NINE, that’s NINE awards for our FAVORITE comedy series, Schitt’s Creek.
So, what does this mean? It means you do NOT want to miss the last season! The acting, producing, and directing was the BEST of the best, and you can BET I’m going to be binge watching it as soon as it drops!
Go ahead and circle October 7th right away in big red marker on your calendar. You sure don’t want to miss this final award winning season of Schitt’s Creek!!
