Well, any of you with Disney+ can now watch it at home! I don’t have Disney+, but I have been reading the responses online of people that are watching it for the first time and they seem to be in love.
The film version was just released today on Disney+, and it is the trending topic all over social media. Hamilton is a broadway musical that came out in 2015 and was a HUGE hit! I remember friends talking about it and traveling to go see it.
The filmed version was supposed to be released in movie theaters late next year, but…because of the coronavirus, they brought the 3-hour show to Disney+!
This is a live recording of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical. So it’s pretty much like watching the real thing, you just don’t have to get dressed up, travel anywhere, or even fix your hair. Heck, wear your pajamas if you want!
How exciting is that? Broadway is shutdown until who knows when, and those tickets are reallllly pricey too! Like, I doubt I could ever afford to go in person. So now, you can experience right from the comfort of your own home!
