I tried Plum Deluxe’s Great British Baking Show teas, and they were delicious. So if your idea of a good evening involves the baking tent and a cup of tea, this collection is worth a look.

There are four collaboration blends, plus a tasting box and a little spoon-charm infuser. The individual teas are listed at $8 per ounce, and the tasting box starts at $18.

Plum Deluxe provided tea samples for editorial consideration. Opinions are my own.

The four Great British Baking Show teas

The limited-edition collection splits neatly into two black teas and two herbal blends. Here is what Plum Deluxe lists for each:

The $18 tasting box has 10 flavors, but not all four collaboration teas

This is the part I would check before choosing a gift. The Tea Companion Tasting Box comes in two versions. Each includes two of the collaboration teas alongside eight other Plum Deluxe blends.

The caffeinated box includes Honey Breakfast and Raspberries and Cream. The other version includes Strawberry Elderflower and Verbena Lemonade, along with blends such as After Dinner Mint and Buttery Shortbread.

Plum Deluxe calls that second option its caffeine-free box, but its lineup also includes Decaf Comfort Blend Black and Decaf Earl Grey Creme Black. It is not an entirely herbal assortment, so read the individual ingredients if that distinction affects your choice.

Each box contains 20 individually wrapped loose-leaf samples, two of each flavor. Plum Deluxe says each sample makes one to two cups. You also get a tasting guide and a Victoria Sandwich Traybake recipe card, all packed in an oven-inspired box.

You will need a way to brew loose-leaf tea

These are loose-leaf teas, so use an infuser or another loose-leaf brewing setup. The collection’s $11 Teaspoon Tea Infuser has a stainless-steel mesh basket and a ceramic spoon charm. It is handwash only.

If you want one specific flavor, the individual bags let you choose it. If you want a gift with a little variety and that tiny oven packaging, look at the tasting box. Just choose the tea lineup first, then admire the box.
