Red Robin is expected to be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, and Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2026, according to The U.S. Sun’s October 19 report.
So if your holiday dinner plan involves somebody else making the burgers and washing the dishes, put those dates on your calendar.
About that “48-hour closure” headline
The U.S. Sun’s headline calls it a “48-hour closure.” The dates in its report are 29 days apart, rather than a continuous shutdown.
That is a pretty dramatic way to tell people to check the calendar before heading out for fries.
Thanksgiving closures have been part of Red Robin’s calendar before
Red Robin’s own November 2017 Friendsgiving announcement explicitly said its restaurants were closed on Thanksgiving. The company was promoting a turkey-burger catering offer around the holiday at the time.
That older announcement is useful background, not a current promotion. Please do not show up asking for a catering discount from 2017. Time travel would be a lot of effort for a burger deal.
Check your restaurant before making the trip
For plans around the holidays, start with Red Robin’s official website and use “Find a location” to select your restaurant. If the listing only shows its usual weekly schedule, call and ask about the specific date and time you want to visit.
Ask about dine-in and pickup separately if you are trying to bring dinner home. A regular Friday listing is not enough information to plan a holiday meal around.
Do that before everyone gets in the car and agrees on what they are ordering. A car full of people who have already mentally eaten their fries is a terrible place to discover you needed another plan.
