SONIC put a cherry-vanilla float in a Santa cup, and apparently Halloween week is close enough to Christmas. The Santa Slush Float is part of its new winter menu—and there are two different dates to know before you make the drive.

App access starts October 26, 2026. The nationwide launch is November 2. That’s the timing in SONIC’s winter-menu announcement, so check your location in the SONIC app if you want the early start.

What’s in the Santa Slush Float?

It’s a cherry-and-vanilla slush layered with vanilla soft serve and topped with a cherry. The release shows it in a Santa-themed cup, complete with a little white beard and buttons. A drink wearing a Santa suit? Okay, that is pretty cute.

It’s a limited-time menu, while supplies last. The announcement does not give a float price or end date.

Two holiday sodas are joining it

If you’d rather skip the soft serve, Merry Berry Fizz adds cranberry syrup to Sprite or Sprite Zero. Holiday Creamy Vanilla combines Coke or Coke Zero with vanilla syrup and sweet cream, according to SONIC’s announcement.

And yes, there’s a new burger

The Smoked Gouda and Bacon SONIC Smasher comes as a double or triple, with Angus beef patties, smoked gouda, bacon and black pepper aioli. So this isn’t an all-dessert menu, even if the Santa cup is doing most of the attention-grabbing.

The refreshed $7 Big Deal Meal is also part of the rollout. SONIC’s October 26 announcement lists a cheeseburger, medium tots or fries, small Premium Chicken Bites and a medium soft drink or iced tea.
