We are about to get new Soundgarden music — the final songs recorded by Chris Cornell — and I might just cry ugly tears of joy.

There was a battle of sorts going on between Chris’ widow — Vicky Cornell — and the surviving members of Soundgarden.

Apparently, the band was withholding royalties that would have gone to Chris, from Vicky and Chris’ kids.

Obviously, Vicky had a problem with that — as I think we all would, in her shoes.

But Vicky and the members of Soundgarden have reached an agreement on the royalties, and that means we get to hear the final songs recorded by Chris Cornell.

Soundgarden and Vicky Cornell, on behalf of the Estate of Chris Cornell, are happy to announce they have reached an amicable out of court resolution.

I can’t even tell you how happy this makes me.

It has been far too long since we have been blessed by the melodic voice of Chris Cornell — undoubtedly one of the best vocalists of our time.

The reconciliation marks a new partnership between the two parties, which will allow Soundgarden fans around the world to hear the final songs that the band and Chris were working on.

Y’all — there are SEVEN unreleased songs!

Back in 2017, they were intended for a new Soundgarden album, but that album never happened.

The two parties are united and coming together to propel, honor, and build upon Soundgarden’s incredible legacy, as well as Chris’s indelible mark on music history as one of the greatest songwriters and vocalists of all time

There isn’t yet word of WHEN these songs will be released, but you know we will let you know as soon as news drops!
