Now, when you think about candy corn, you probably don’t have thoughts like, “Gee, I wonder how I can turn these into lava.” This is, admittedly, probably a good sign for you and a bad sign for me. However, thoughts like that do tend to result in totally awesome effects like the one on the top of this Spiked Hot Chocolate with Candy Corn Lava. What You’ll Need to Make Spiked Hot Chocolate with Candy Corn Lava:
- 1 package hot chocolate
- 1-2 shots bourbon
- 6 candy corn marshmallows
- 6-8 candy corn pieces
- 1-2 Tbsp. butter
How to Make Spiked Hot Chocolate with Candy Corn Lava:
In a small sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the candy corn and 4 of the candy corn marshmallows, then stir until the candy is melted.
Make hot chocolate and pour in a large mug.
Add 1-2 shots of bourbon and stir.
Top with the candy corn and marshmallow lava mixture.
Garnish with a couple candy corn marshmallows.
Serve immediately.
Pro-tip: If you can’t find candy corn marshmallows where you live or want to cut out a little bit of the candy corn flavor, you can just use regular marshmallows! Same lava texture, and the regular candy corn still provides color and flavor.
