Starbucks red cup day is an annual tradition where Starbucks gives away free reusable hot cups (typically red cups in a holiday design) to those that purchase a holiday beverage on a select day of the year. The offer is good until supplies last.
Starbucks posted the official news today on Facebook saying:

Get your limited-edition reusable red cup with the purchase of any holiday handcrafted beverage. Quantities are limited, while supplies last, at participating U.S. & Canada stores.
According to a leaked internal memo, here is the info you need to know:
Each customer will receive (1) free reusable red cup for each Fall or holiday handcrafted beverage ordered in any channel.
This means you can order via the app, through the drive-thru or inside a store.
The cups are available while supplies last. So, please be nice to employees if they run out.
Drinks that are included in the promotion are below.
Drinks not included are brewed coffee and tea.
