I’m not even sure why this was in question.

A new study in the Anthrozoos Journal (it has to do with human and animal interaction), found that adult women sleep better when snuggled up with their canine fur baby. Duh.

Not only do they sleep better when snuggled with their four-legged best friend, their sleep quality is a higher than if they were snoozing with a human.

The journal study is definitely a technical read (snore), so let me break it down for you.

Three ladies (Chrisy Hoffman, Kaylee Stutz, and Terrie Vasilopoulos) set out to determine whether women sleep better with their dogs, their cats, or their human partners. They interviewed 962 females for this study, with mixed results.

It was ultimately shown that those who slept with dogs over humans had earlier bedtimes, and were able to wake up earlier. It also showed that those who slept with solely a canine were disrupted and disturbed less during sleep. Sleeping with humans was more disruptive.

It is no surprise that those who slept with cats were equally as disrupted during sleep than as if they were sleeping with a human. I mean, really. Have you ever tried to sleep with a cat?!?

The study also showed that those ladies who slept with feline pets felt less safety and security than those who slept with either a dog or a human.

Bottom line: cats were no good as cuddle buddies, humans were on the disruptive side, dogs were awesome. I may be paraphrasing here.
