Target is putting together an entire ACOTAR reading-night setup: tea named for the Suriel, celestial BrüMate cups and a reason to be in the book aisle at midnight.

The new collection starts arriving October 11, ahead of Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Splintered Harmony on October 27. Target says most pieces are under $20 and nearly 85% of the assortment is exclusive to Target.

Yes, there is actual tea with the Suriel

The Republic of Tea’s Suriel Earl Greyer Lavender Black Tea comes with 36 tea bags in a collectible tin. Target describes a blend of lavender, Earl Grey and vanilla. It contains caffeine, which is useful information if your reading plans already involve ignoring bedtime.

The broader collection includes Velaris and Spring Court teas, four fine’ry fragrances, Alex and Ani jewelry, sweatshirts, games and bookish accessories.

For anyone eyeing that blue-and-gold cup, Target’s BrüMate collection includes the 40-ounce Era Flip tumbler and a smaller travel mug in Starfall and Cursebreaker designs.

The midnight party has a few details worth knowing

About 250 Target stores will host release-night events from 9 p.m. on October 26 until midnight, October 27, local time. There will be ACOTAR trivia, shopping and photo opportunities.

According to Target’s event page, the first 100 guests get a free Bryaxis keychain and a commemorative ticket that gives them the opportunity to purchase the new book at midnight. The book itself is not the freebie. Supplies are limited, so check the participating-store list before planning a late-night trip.

Already preordered for pickup? That order will not be available at midnight. Target says preorder pickup begins when stores open on October 27. A preorder and a midnight event ticket are separate things.

Target also announced a gift with purchase of book six, designed with Maas, plus a separate gift for guests who buy an ACOTAR Hasbro game during the event, while supplies last. Those offers are separate from the first-100-guests keychain.
