This Bookstore Lets You Cuddle With Kittens And You Can Even Adopt Them
Have y’all been to a cat café? Usually you pay an hourly rate, and you can go get your café on, while you snuggle with kittens. But, then, once you leave, that’s it. No more kitties.
Well, there is a bookstore in Canada, where you can go spend time reading, and snuggling with kittens. Then, if you bond with that certain feline, you can ADOPT said kitten! WHAT?!? You can take a cat home when you leave!
I’d be in BIG trouble. I’m pretty sure my husband wouldn’t let me go near the place. I’d want ALL the kittens! LOL!
Otis & Clementine’s Books & Coffee is the name of this genius book and coffee shop, and it’s located in Nova Scotia, Canada. You go in for books or coffee, and you get to cuddle a kitten — or five.
People come here specifically to see the cats, and then some people just wander in to look at the books and discover there are kittens. Either way, the response has been really great – I mean, who doesn’t love kittens, right?

They have a 100% adoption rate, which is AWESOME! Seriously, though. It’s the perfect gig for a kitten! Just roam around the store, lounge on the furniture or shelves, flirt with a family or two, and get a furever home!
Otis & Clementine’s Books & Coffee has teamed up with South Paw Conservation Nova Scotia Rescue Group. The Rescue Group supplies the kittens, and the bookstore houses them until they find their perfect family.
So — who wants to take a roadtrip with me? Gah! I must go read books, drink coffee, and be surrounded by kittens! I would totally be living my best life.
Never fear, they won’t just HAND you a cat. There is a whole application process, and South Paw Conservation will review the application to make sure the adoptive parents are a good fit for the kitty.
We try to home our babies with the best possible fit. Some require a more quiet space free from other animals, but still maybe enjoy the snuggles at night and some are more playful and outgoing.
