The family calendar and the kitchen TV are about to share a screen. Amazon’s new Echo Show 16 pairs a 16-inch full-HD display with household planning tools and built-in Fire TV.
The useful part isn’t just making the calendar bigger. Its Family Organizer view brings color-coded schedules, tasks and meal plans together, with tabs for appointments, to-dos and recipes. That sounds considerably less chaotic than hunting through three different group texts for dinner plans.
It can also switch into a smart-home dashboard or digital photo frame. Fire TV is built in, and the remote comes in the box. Streaming services may still require their own subscriptions; buying the screen doesn’t buy every show.
What does the Echo Show 16 cost?
Amazon’s October 28 announcement lists the standard model at $499.99 and the glare-reducing Nanomatte version at $569.99, with a $100 preorder discount. The company has not specified a discount end date in those announcements.
Budget for placement, too. The compatible stand is sold separately for $69.99, or $124.99 for the swivel-and-tilt option. Certain features require Alexa+, which is included with Prime.
This is a preorder, not a promise of immediate delivery. Amazon says shipping begins later in 2026; its announcement does not give an exact date. Check the selected model’s final price and delivery estimate before ordering.
And if you remember our 2022 Echo Show organization-station story, that covered an older model. Its old price is not the price of this new Echo Show 16.
