Bruce Willis Finally Has A Diagnosis For His Health Struggles, And It’s Devastating
Bruce Willis finally has an actual diagnosis, and it isn’t good.
ICYMI, Bruce started developing bouts of aphasia — which is the loss of the ability to understand or express himself with speech.
But, the family just shared his actual diagnosis — what’s causing the aphasia — and y’all, my heart just breaks for all of them.
Let me just say, I have been a huge fan of Bruce Willis for years.
Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, The Whole Nine Yards, Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, Hudson Hawk (my favorite), Blind Date, Moonlighting — and that’s just a few of his acting credits.
The dude has been such an ingrained part of film culture.
One look at his IMDB page will shock you. He has been in SO many things.
It makes me so sad that he has had to quit the industry that he obviously loves.
Now, the family has announced that Bruce is suffering from frontotemporal dementia — a disease that affects personality, behavior and language — and they are obviously devastated.
Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.
