Carole Baskin Has Just Won Control Over Joe Exotic’s Old Zoo. Here’s What We Know.
If you haven’t heard about Tiger King, most likely you’ve been living under a rock. This Nexflix Original Documentary took social media by storm with the most outrageous, unbelieveable footage I have ever seen.
This show was top of the charts and all everyone was talking about. Then, like most hypes, it fizzled out. Tiger King hasn’t really been talked about recently…until now.
Carole Baskin has finally gained control of the Oklahoma Zoo, formally owned by Joe Exotic, after a judge ruling.
Due to the $1 million lawsuit against Joe and his mom many years ago, Carole has now obtained the zoo.
According to docs, obtained by TMZ, the judge said Joe’s transfer of the zoo land to his mother and Jeff Lowe was fraudulent. So, now the judge is granting Carole control of the land to help satisfy that $1 mil judgment from the old trademark lawsuit.
The judge is giving Jeff Lowe 120 days to relocate with his animals. This is after Lowe just reopened the zoo last month, calling it Tiger King Park.
Serves him right if you ask me.
He and his wife, Lauren, told TMZ:
“We have long anticipated that the judge would eventually undo the 2016 land transfer. We are thankful that he dragged out his decision this long and allowed us time to complete the new Tiger King Park in Thackerville Oklahoma, behind the World’s largest casino.”
Jeff and Lauren continued, “Considering [Carole] spent approximately 2.5M chasing her 1M judgment, we congratulate her on her new acquisition of 16 acres in rural Oklahoma.” They took one parting shot, saying, “The possibility of human remains being buried on this land should make her feel right at home.”
We haven’t gotten word on what Joe Exotic’s opinion of this whole transaction is, but I’m sure it’s not a good one. Although he may be upset enough at Lowe to be glad he doesn’t have his hands on the zoo either. But I’m sure the worst outcome for him is for Carole to have control of his zoo.
What are your opinions on this? I agree that it makes up for the $1 million that Baskin has been trying to obtain. I just don’t like the idea of her having the zoo. And I really hope they find her guilty of killing her husband. Just saying.
