I am always behind the curve on EVERYTHING! Why did I not know about Chaffels?!?
These are apparently Keto-friendly, super yummy, and totally simple to make.
By the way, if you couldn’t tell, a Chaffle is cheese + waffle = Chaffle.
I mean, I found them on TikTok, so how hard could they be?!? Ha!
So, you just start with egg, and add your favorite cheese. Boom. Done.
Well, I mean, you have to COOK them in a waffle maker. But, then Boom. Done.
You can totally add whatever you want to these bad boys. I added a little shredded zucchini (I squeezed the water out of it), and OMG!! Instant zucchini fritters!
You can also use finely shredded cheddar and then some diced jalapenos, for a south-of-the-border feel. They are so dang good!
People are adding syrup, and say they taste just like waffles, but they are more healthy for you.
I’ve seen people use these chaffles as hamburger buns, or in place of any sandwich that uses bread. HELLO, BLT, I’m talking to YOU! *Heart Eye Emoji*
The recipe seems to be 1 egg to 1/2 cup of your favorite cheese — then add on whatever you like! Have fun, and let me know how they are.
