What You Need To Make Cinderella Glass Slippers:
- Bright White Candy Melts
- Wilton Gold Color Mist Food Color Spray
- Decorating Pearls (small)
- High Heel Chocolate Mold
Other Supplies Needed:
- Microwave-Safe Cup or Bowl
- Spoon
- Wax or Parchment Paper
- Candy Stick or Bamboo Skewer
How To Make Cinderella Glass Slipper Candy:
Place the candy melts into the microwave-safe cup or bowl. You will need 1/3 of the bag to complete one batch.
Melt the candy melts in 30-second increments at high power (lower to 90% if your microwave is above 1000-watts). Stir and repeat until the chocolate is melted. Be very careful not to burn.
Use a spoon to fill each glass slipper cavity. Note: to get a nice smooth surface gently pick up and tap the mold against the counter. This will also remove any air bubbles.
Refrigerate for 1-hour to allow chocolate to harden.
Once hardened, gently turn the mold over onto a clean surface and the slippers should fall right out.
If there is extra chocolate on the outside of the slippers, you can scrape a small pairing knife along the edge to remove the excess.
Next, place a piece of wax or parchment paper down onto a cookie sheet (or the counter is fine).
With the can about 6-inches away spray the slippers with light bursts of the food color spray.
Allow the slippers to dry completely (about 30-minutes) and spray any areas that need to be retouched. Again, allow at least 30-minutes of dry time before the next step.
Melt a few more candy melts in the microwave using the same steps from the beginning.
Use a candy or bamboo stick to place a small dot of the melted chocolate onto the slippers. Then, place a decorating pearl on top of the melted chocolate. The chocolate will act as ‘glue’ and will hold the pearl in place.
Serve and enjoy!
Pro Tip: These can be served on their own, or use to garnish cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and so much more. They are a perfect addition to any princess party and they are completely edible and delicious!
