Sprouts has a new Swedish candy stop where you fill the bag yourself. Sockerbit’s Pick & Mix display has arrived at 17 stores in California and Florida, with 12 varieties to choose from.
That is a dangerous amount of decision-making to add to a grocery list. Especially when two of the choices are called Banana Dream and Sour Berry Dream.
What’s in the candy bins?
According to Sockerbit’s September 30 announcement, those two flavors expand its Dream line of soft, airy foam candy and are exclusive to Sprouts’ bulk selection. Sour Peach Mallows are also making their debut there.
Four of the 12 bulk varieties are Sprouts exclusives. The setup lets you choose individual candies and build your own mix, which is useful when a ready-made bag always has one kind everyone leaves behind.
The candy bar and the packaged-candy rollout are different
The scoop-your-own pilot is limited to 17 California and Florida stores. Separately, Sockerbit says a 12-product packaged assortment is arriving at nearly 500 Sprouts locations nationwide during October.
So a nearby Sprouts carrying Sockerbit bags does not automatically mean it has the Pick & Mix bins. That distinction is worth checking before making a special trip for Banana Dream.
Use Sockerbit’s Sprouts Pick & Mix locator to find the participating stores. If you’re calling a location, ask specifically about the bulk display rather than just asking whether it carries Sockerbit.
Start with a little of the unfamiliar stuff
The nice thing about choosing the mix is that it doesn’t have to be a whole bag of one gamble. A few pieces of something new can sit alongside the candy you already know you want.
Check the store’s posted price and individual candy labels as you choose. The announcement doesn’t establish a uniform price for every location, and the new flavors won’t necessarily be the right fit for every dietary need.
