LISA did not come to the VMAs to quietly sit in the audience and clap for everyone else.
She just won Best Pop at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for “Dream,” featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi.
That is a very big win in a category stacked with Ariana Grande, Charli xcx, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, and Taylor Swift.
Then LISA took over the stage
LISA also performed her new single “SaWaDiKa” during the show, marking the song’s first live television performance. The official CBS photos from the night capture the moment dancers lifted her into the air during the performance, because apparently standing on the stage like a normal person was never going to be enough.
Honestly, good.
Between the performance and the Best Pop win, LISA managed to turn one VMA appearance into a full announcement that she is operating on a completely different scale right now.
She walked into the show like it belonged to her, and by the end of the night, it kind of did.
