If you want to watch Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s final performances at home, check the format before you hit preorder. The new Back to the Beginning release has a concert film and a live soundtrack—and those are not interchangeable.
According to Ozzy’s official announcement, the standard editions arrive December 11, 2026. The film is included on 4K Ultra HD and HD Blu-ray in the physical packages. The separately listed digital release is the live soundtrack, not a digital movie purchase.
That means someone buying the digital album should not expect a concert video to come with it. And if you are buying a physical edition as a gift, check that the recipient has a compatible disc player.
The deluxe box has a different release date
The limited-edition deluxe set is scheduled for April 23, 2027—not December. It adds a bonus Blu-ray of performances from other artists, along with a book and collectibles. It is a separate choice from the standard editions arriving this year.
For one current price example, Ozzy’s official Americas store lists the silver-and-black splatter vinyl package, with two LPs and two Blu-ray discs, at $69.98. Its shipping notice says orders start shipping December 11. That is a shipping start date, not a promised delivery date.
There is another checkout detail worth catching: the store says items ordered with that preorder will be held until it ships. Keep that in mind before adding something you need sooner to the same order.
The release draws from the July 5, 2025 show at Villa Park in Birmingham. For watching, choose a package that includes the film discs. For listening, the digital soundtrack is the simpler option.
