Starbucks Is No Longer Refilling Reusable Cups For The Time Being. Here’s Why
We know that you all love getting your refills from Starbucks. But as of today, there will be some changes. Don’t stress, it isn’t awful!
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Starbucks will no longer fill reusable cups or “for here” cups. I didn’t even know they had “for here” cups until recently.
They will, however, honor the 10-cent discount for anyone who brings in a personal cup or asks for “for here” cup. You just won’t get it in that cup for now.
So don’t get upset when they tell you they can not use your pretty new cup. You can always pour it in yourself later.
They know we love our Starbucks cup collections, but they also want to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Like I said, if you do have a cup with you they will still give you your discount. They are not trying to get out of it, they just want to do their part to keep it clean.
You just never know if someone is handing them a dirty cup and that could contaminate the machines and equipment.
Starbucks wants you to know that the health and well-being of their partners and customers (that’s us) are of the highest importance right now.
With guidance from the CDC, they have increased cleaning and sanitizing for all of their company-operated stores. I honestly think every business and every person needs to be improving on this ALL OF THE TIME.
Starbucks has also chosen to restrict all business-related air travel, domestic and international through March 31.
They have even modified and postponed meetings across their offices in the U.S. and Canada.
Now, go wash your hands! Oh and maybe make your own hand sanitizer since everyone seems to be selling out!
