You have no idea how happy this makes me. I’m chronically ill and have a compromised immune system. Going out in public is scary without a pandemic. Going out during a pandemic is honestly scary as hell!

Do I want to go out? No, not at all. But I do need to be able to shop for food and other household supplies.

One thing Target is changing is the store hours. They will now close at 9 pm. This will allow them more time to stock and deep clean their stores.

This will help us as we replenish and deeply clean our stores for our guests. And it builds on measures we shared earlier this month, including enhanced cleaning and more staffing for in-demand services that support social distancing, like Order Pickup and Drive Up. We’ll also reserve the first hour of shopping each Wednesday to support vulnerable guests, including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns.

Target CEO Brian Cornell

Every Wednesday for the first hour after opening will be designated for vulnerable guests. This means elderly shoppers and people like me with underlying health concerns. If you are pregnant, this applies to you as well!

We are more likely to get sick. Even though we take more precautions than others, our body just isn’t as strong.

Target is also speeding up shipping and restocking of high demand products. This includes medicine, food and other essentials (like toilet paper)!

They are also enforcing limits to make sure people do not get greedy and more people can get what they need.

Thank you so much Target! We are very grateful!
