Witch college, a woodland cottage and a little seaside town to wander around. Apparently, homework becomes much more appealing when the subjects include potions and tarot.

Witchbrook launches digitally on January 28, 2027, and you can play alone or bring up to three friends along in online co-op. Chucklefish announced the date in its October 27 release update, which also confirmed a day-one PlayStation 5 version.

Which systems get Witchbrook?

The announced lineup is PC through Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The developer says the digital game will cost $24.99 at launch, with more regional pricing to follow.

If you want a box for your shelf, that part requires a little more patience. Standard and Collector’s physical editions are in development, but they will arrive after the digital launch. Their dates, platforms and other details have not been announced.

You actually have classes to attend

Chucklefish and Robotality describe Witchbrook as a witch life-sim and social RPG set in Mossport. Your character attends Witchbrook College, studies magic and works toward graduation while getting to know the people around town.

There is also a woodland cottage to decorate and a garden to work on. The official feature list includes fishing, bug-catching, seasonal events and running a witch business. Going back to school sounds considerably better with a broom commute and somewhere cute to put your furniture.

Four players total, with a few details to check

Online co-op supports up to four players, including you. Solo play is also available.

For Xbox console players, the official store listing says online multiplayer requires Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate, sold separately. Do not assume the game’s purchase price covers that subscription.

The announcement does not establish that every console can play with every other console. Check the compatibility details for your group before buying copies on different systems.

You can wishlist Witchbrook on Steam now. For physical-copy buyers, the next thing to watch is the separate edition announcement.
