If you landed here because you saw the Best New Artist ballot during the VMAs, that voting window is over now.
Sienna Spiro won Best New Artist at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
MTV kept this category open into the live show, which is why this page was useful while the ceremony was happening. Once the award was announced, the vote became a result instead of a “go do this right now” situation.
Who won Best New Artist at the 2026 VMAs?
Sienna Spiro took the Moon Person for Best New Artist. The final field also included Bella Kay, CORTIS, Magnus Ferrell, Malcolm Todd, Myles Smith and Stella Lefty.
If you came here because you were trying to figure out who she is, we have the separate Sienna Spiro Best New Artist story with the performance context.
Can you still vote for Best New Artist?
No. The fan-voting window for this category ended with the live 2026 VMAs, and the winner has already been announced.
That matters because the MTV ballot stayed open later than most of the other VMA categories. If you saw an older link telling you to vote “right now,” you are not missing some secret extra round. The show is over and the result is final.
Who were the 2026 Best New Artist nominees?
- Bella Kay
- CORTIS
- Magnus Ferrell
- Malcolm Todd
- Myles Smith
- Sienna Spiro — winner
- Stella Lefty
