Christ Church College in Oxford, (aka Hogwarts), is home of a few select scenes where the Harry Potter series was filmed.

That’s right, Christ Church was one of the locations used to turn J.K. Rowling’s wizard world into reality and today, you can book a stay at the college as if you were having a sleepover at Hogwarts.

So if the staircase in Christ Church College or lets say the dining hall looks familiar to you, that’s because they are, (and those are just a few examples).

The famous stairs leading up and down inside the college were used in several scenes during Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

And when it comes to the dining hall in Christ Church College, camera crews did not film any scenes inside this beautiful eating area.

However, the college’s dining hall was used as inspiration for Hogwarts’ Great Hall.

So in retrospect, we may never have gotten to witness rows of floating candles and magical professors all in one room if it wasn’t for the inspiration that came from the college’s eating quarters.

Now if you’re currently packing your bags to have a sleepover at Hogwarts, there are a few more things you should know.

According to TikToker @melmadog who lived out her wizard dream, we now know that you can sleep at the college where several iconic Harry Potter scenes filmed, because why not?

Plus, you can even have breakfast in the same dining hall that inspired Hogwarts’ Great Hall, although instead of chocolate frogs, you can choose from a delicious continental breakfast for us humans.
