Chris Hemsworth Doesn’t Want To Play Thor So Long That People Are Sick Of Seeing Him and I’m Not Sure That’s Possible

You can’t make a Thor movie that I hate. I mean, Chris Hemsworth. Done. The end.

Give me Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok — my FAVORITE. I love them all.

Thor: Love and Thunder — I know it’s a bit controversial — but I thought it was hilarious.

I mean, the screaming goats? Come on!!

I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly — It’s always hard being in the centre of it and having any real perspective — I love the process, it’s always a ride. But you just don’t know how people are going to respond.

So what about a 5th installment for my favorite superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? I’m talking about Thor, duh.

Oh, I’m not saying there’s a Thor 5 in the works, but we are just hoping and wishing here.

I’ve got to be careful how I word that because I have no idea what’s happening in the next phase — There’s always conversations, like with Extraction. Before anything is official, people are throwing around ideas. But officially, I don’t know.

Chris Hemsworth on if there is a Thor 5 in the works

Chris Hemsworth has some reservations about playing Thor in a 5th movie, and I get it.

He doesn’t want to play the character so long that people are downright sick of seeing him. Thor has actually been in NINE Marvel movies over about a decade, so it’s been awhile.

I don’t want to continue to do it until people are so exhausted that they roll their eyes when they see me come on the screen as that character.

So, the script would have to be really good for him to step back onto the screen as Thor with his trusty hammer, Mjölnir.

Well, Mr. Hemsworth, you play it, and we’ll show up to watch it!
