We always want every holiday season to be better than the last and apparently, so does Eddie Murphy.

Eddie Murphy stars in a new holiday movie that’s all about making this holiday season, a Christmas to remember for his wife and kids.

As a Christmas-loving father, Eddie Murphy plays Chris, a dad who maybe goes a little over the top when it comes to celebrating for the holidays, keep that in mind.

And when it comes to his neighborhood’s annual house-decorating contest, Chris decides he’s going to do anything to win this year, and I mean anything.

Don’t believe me?

During the trailer, we see Chris nearly break down his daughter’s door early in the morning, waking her up, to borrow brackets that were already being used to support a shelf that was hanging on her bedroom wall.

And all of this was simply to mount a reindeer on the house, believe me now?

Although it looks like even the reindeer isn’t even enough to satisfy Chris to win this “competition friendly”, house decorating contest.

After stumbling upon a new holiday store on a random road, Chris and his youngest daughter meet a mischievous elf (Jillian Bell), who’s running the shop.

The elf asks Chris what he wishes for Christmas and let’s just say that his answer, isn’t exactly what the elf grants.

So in other words, not only do we have the genies to watch out for, but apparently elves who scheme too.

The rest of the cast will include Tracee Ellis Ross, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, D.C. Young Fly, Riki Lindhome, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Lombardo Boyar, Danielle Pinnock, and Timothy Simons.
