The EPA Has Just Approved Two Lysol Disinfectants That Can Kill The Coronavirus
During this time, many of us are wisely picking and choosing which cleaning supplies, hand sanitizers and disinfectants are the best to clean surfaces to stop the spread.
Many of us have questioned which products to use and thankfully, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has approved two Lysol disinfectants that can fight the virus.
The two Lysol products are the Lysol Disinfectant Sprays and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover Mists.
These two bottles will properly clean hard and non-porous surfaces and will kill the virus. According to the EPA and through laboratory testing, after two minutes of contact, both Lysol products have shown to kill the virus.
Lysol has also stated, that they have been testing other disinfectants against the virus as well.
“In the face of the pandemic, Lysol continues to work with a wide range of scientific and health experts to educate the public on the importance of hygiene,” said Rahul Kadyan, executive vice president of Reckitt Benckiser in North America, Lysol’s parent company.

Through a survey by the CDC, many individuals expressed that they have been cleaning surfaces regularly, but only half of them knew how to do so safely. Other individuals stated that they were using high-risk cleaning methods which in return, created health problems.
When cleaning, the CDC would like to remind everyone to wear gloves or any other protective gear, read labels and to not mix chemicals.
Hopefully Lysol is back in stock soon. In the meantime, stay safe and continue to practice good hygiene and safe cleaning methods.
