I Already Need A Season 2 Of ‘Julie And The Phantoms’
I am absolutely ready for more episodes of Julie and the Phantoms!! Gah!
I’m warning you right now — there WILL be spoilers in this post, so read ahead with caution. If you haven’t watched season 1 yet, go do so NOW!!
Julie and the Phantoms is the new teen musical NETFLIX show (I know, it feels like a Disney Channel show), about a girl named Julie who has lost her musical mojo.
When her mom dies, she feels like her musicalness (I think I made up that word) died as well. She isn’t able to create music like she once did.
When she is cleaning out her mom’s studio one day, she accidentally releases the ghostly spirits of 3 boys that happen to be boy band material. There is a drummer, a guitar player, and a lead singer. Pretty convenient, huh?!?
These ghostly boys help Julie get her love for music back, and they even end up forming a band together. There is only one problem. Julie is the only one who is able to see the boys.
EXCEPT when they are performing. Everyone can see the boys when they are jamming together on stage — but then, the minute they stop performing, they dissapear again.
Pretty cool party trick, if I do say so myself!
Here is where the major spoilers are going to come into play, so don’t read past this point if you don’t want to know what is going to happen.
When you are messing around with the spirit world, sometimes you run across ghosts who can’t be absolutely trusted.
This seems to be how it is when the group meets Caleb, a ghost who runs a nightclub that allows the spirit world and the living world to interact.
Caleb decides to give the boys an ultimatum: either perform with Caleb in HIS band, or disappear forever.
This is quite the conundrum, as they don’t trust Caleb, and they are already IN a band with Julie.
At the end, Julie and her phantom boys are able to outsmart Caleb, and he (Caleb) somehow possesses one of Julie’s friends, Nick.
Now, there are too many ties left open NOT to get a second season. First of all, can the boys now walk amongst the living?? Why the heck did Caleb possess Nick, and is he going to do it again? Does his plan with Nick maybe include Julie? *Dun-dun-dun*
We. Need. A. Second. Season sooner rather than later!! It isn’t fair that season one is already done! Gah!!
