Jack Hanna Has Alzheimer’s Disease And I’m So Sad
You may or may not know Jack Hanna, I guess it really depends on how old you are. But if you happen to be in the 40 on up stage, then Jack Hanna is most likely someone that you know and love.
Now he is battling Alzheimer’s disease. His family announced the heartbreaking news today.
Today, we reach out to share some personal Hanna Family news. Doctors have diagnosed our dad, Jack Hanna, with dementia, now believed to be Alzheimer’s disease. His condition has progressed much faster in the last few months than any of us could have anticipated.

Jack Hanna was the famous animal expert that was on the shows. Even late night talk shows, he was smart and he was fun.
Even though Dad is no longer able to travel and work in the same way, we know that this infectious enthusiasm has touched many hearts and will continue to be his legacy.

They say that in the last few months that is progressing really fast and he is no longer able to participate with the public like he used to.
Jack Hanna spent most of his career with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium since 1978 where he served as the director. He retired the year I graduated, way back in 1992.
After his retirement, he became a spokesperson for the zoo and could be spotted on many late-night shows. He was always accompanied by some exotic animals that he wanted to educate the public about.
