Meet Mr. Happy Face, Dubbed ‘The Ugliest Dog In The World’
They have officially named the ‘Ugliest Dog In The World,’ and he is simply so ugly he’s cute!
Mr. Happy Face is a hairless, 17-year-old Chinese crested-chihuahua mix, and he was rescued from a hoarder’s house in Arizona.
His owner, Jeneda Benally, found this ‘ugly’ pup back in 2021, and the two have been inseparable ever since.
According to the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds And Event Center, when Jeneda went to adopt Mr. Happy Face, she was told that he could only have a few weeks to live. He had tumors and medical conditions that threatened his health.
The Vet also told her that it was possible he was inbred. That accounted for his ‘ugliness.’
When I first met him, he was the happiest creature that I had ever met. He hobbled up to me and chose me — I vowed that day, he would be so loved that he would never remember how awful his previous life had been. Love, kindness and mommy kisses have helped him defy the anticipated short life that we all expected him to have with our family.

It just goes to show you. A loving dog doesn’t have to be a beautiful AKC registered pup.
