Raid your bathroom and check your dry shampoo and conditioner sprays.
Procter & Gamble has recently voluntarily recalled several dry shampoo and conditioners that were sold in the United States and Canada from their Pantene and Herbal Essences lines.
The recall was announced due to the presence of a cancer-causing chemical known as Benzene, in a handful of shampoo and conditioner sprays.
Keep in mind that the recall also includes products from Aussie and Waterless brands that were made in the U.S. including a few discontinued items from the Old Spice and Hair Food brands.
While Procter & Gamble has not disclosed the exact number of recalls, the company has mentioned that the recalled hair products represent only less than 1% of their haircare.
Costumers can call the Consumer Care team at 1-888-674-3631 for reimbursements of products and should discard the recalled products immediately.
