Samuel E. Wright, The Voice Of Sebastian From ‘The Little Mermaid’ Has Died
Everyone’s favorite singing and sassy crab from Disney’s popular movie ‘The Little Mermaid’ has passed away.
Samuel E. Wright was 74 with a wife and three children when he passed and according to the late actor’s daughter Dee who told The Hollywood Reporter, her father’s death was caused after a three year battle with prostate cancer.
Her father passed away peacefully Monday night in his home.
Alongside ‘The Little Mermaid’, Wright earned two Tony nominations for his work in “The Tap Dance Kid” and the other in another popular Disney film “The Lion King.”
He also made a Broadway debut in the original cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in the late 1900s, had his first break on television in the 1980s, and even won an Oscar.
Rest in peace Samuel E. Wright, your legacy will live on through the various projects in entertainment, including inspiration and fond nostalgic memories that are a staple in many people’s childhood.
