Great news, things are slowly starting to go back to somewhat normal!

Starbucks

Starbucks used to allow customers to bring in their own reusable cups and mugs to get their orders filled in.

But along came Covid-19 and that was halted for health and safety.

Now Starbucks is slowly going back to pre-pandemic life and they are about ready to reinstate the program, but there are some changes.

One change is that your cup or mug must be clean, which I thought was a requirement before.

Apparently the baristas used to clean any mugs that were visibly dirty before they refilled them.

I honestly don’t blame them for changing that, wash your own dang cup!

Bringing back personal reusable cups is key part of Starbucks’ ongoing commitment to reduce single-use cup waste and goal to reduce waste by 50% by 2030

Starbucks said in a statement.

Starbucks is also resuming their reusable mugs for people that dine on site.

Customers who use the Starbucks drive-thru will still have to get their drinks in disposable cups for now, bummer.

When you do use your own reusable mug you receive a ten cent discount on your drinks.

You will be able to bring your clean reusable mugs to use inside Starbucks US company-owned cafes starting on June 22nd, 2021.

At this time, there has not been a date announced for when they will allow this through the drive-thru.
