Soon, you’ll be able to add more than just beef and chicken to your tacos while ordering at Taco Bell.

Doing what they do best, the taco chain has innovated yet another menu item that will have you ordering takeout several nights straight.

Silence please; enter, the new Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco.

A birria-inspired taco that calls for a new protein to be added to menus, this new taco puts a twist on their usual beef, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, and tomato recipe.

The taco, comes dressed with slow-braised, shredded beef, creamy jalapeño sauce, and a three-cheese blend that’s then stuffed in a taco shell and fried.

So while you have a party of ingredients dancing in the inside of the taco, the outer surface is coated in the same three cheese blend for an extra cheesy crunch.

And if you thought that was it, just wait until I tell you about the dipping sauces.

Now it’s important to note that this new taco is made to be dipped, so you can count on a red chili sauce and a nacho cheese to submerge your taco in.

“By combining slow-braised shredded beef with the two dipping sauces, our fans can enjoy a new range of flavors they may have never had from Taco Bell before,” said Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer Liz Matthews in a recent press release. “This Mexican-inspired dish represents an evolution of what fans typically expect from Taco Bell. We’re excited to bring this menu item nationwide after an incredibly successful test in 2022.”

For those who want to try something new, you’ll be able to order the Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco nationwide as soon as next week, six days, or 144 hours, but who’s counting right?

Alongside the new grilled cheese and birria-inspired taco twist, Taco Bell will also be bringing back the Beefy Crunch Burrito nationwide the same day!

Although Taco Bell Rewards members can order the burrito 48 hours early with the app, and since we haven’t had a chance to bite into this burrito since 2018, expect long drive-thru lines on August 1.
