In case you COMPLETELY forgot, Today (well technically tomorrow) is Daylight Savings time. Yup, I actually thought it was next week.

Sunday, March 8 2020 is officially Daylight Savings time and this means that we actually LOSE and hour of sleep. We SPRING FORWARD 1 Hour.

Sigh.

While I love the warmer weather, I hate the loss of sleep.

So, when does the time change?

Well, the time change takes effect at 2:00 am your local time EDT, CDT, MDT, or PDT).

The worst part of it is that short term feeling that we are so tired from that loss of 1 hour that we can barely get through the day.

I am basically a zombie by mid day and that’s even after guzzling coffee.

Oh, and in case you didn’t know, there are states that don’t participate in Daylight savings time. So, if you live in Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii, plus a few other U.S. territories, you do not observe DST and stay on standard time all year long.

So, now you know. Enjoy the extra time while you have it before it’s gone in a few hours!

Oh, and go change your coffee pot to brew an hour later. You’re welcome for the reminder!
