This Viral Video Reminds Parents Why Infants Can’t Have Toys In Their Crib
Fair warning – this is hard to watch.
As a mom of three, I constantly lived in fear that something would happen to my kids during sleep. So much, I invested in one of those monitors that alerts me if they stopped breathing or moving for more than 30 seconds.
But no matter how safe you think your baby’s crib is, accidents happen and this video is a good reminder of that.
If you are a new parent or know someone who is, you need to show them this video.
This viral TikTok video reminds parents exactly why infants can’t have toys in their crib.
In the video you see the baby get ahold of a tiny baby blanket/toy and quickly pull it over it’s face.
The baby then struggles to get it off which means the baby is at risk of suffication.
Luckily, the parents got it in time but that video was so hard to watch.
All it takes is a split second and to think something so small like a tiny toy or baby blanket is enough to take your baby away from you forever. Ugh!
So, as a reminder, there should never be anything in the crib with your baby.
Your baby should really be sleeping with nothing but a sleep sack on, a tightly fitted sheet below them, on a firm mattress, alone, and on their back. That’s the safest way for babies to get some rest.
