The start of school has come and gone, and Halloween is the next holiday on the horizon.

You know what that means!! The end of Daylight Saving Time is upon us.

But, when do we “fall back,” as they say, and change the time on our clocks?

It’s still several weeks away at this point, but get your calendars and a big red marker out.

You’re going to want to know exactly when to set those clocks back an hour.

Side Note: We gain an hour of sleep! Hooray!!!

When Does Daylight Saving Time End?

If you want to get exact, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

But, you’ll want to just set your clocks back an hour when you go to sleep on Saturday, November 4th.

Of course, in these days of smartphones and Apple Watches, most of your devices will automatically adjust for the difference in time.

However, if you own an old-school clock, microwave, stove, watch, or something else that has to be manually adjusted, be prepared.

Now, this will mean the start of the dark days of fall and winter.

The sun will set earlier than ever, and we’ll be blanketed in cool weather and darkness.

I’m giddy!!

There are a couple states that have opted not to participate in Daylight Savings Time, so they won’t need to adjust their clocks.

If you live in Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) or Hawaii, you get to leave your clocks as is, and not disrupt your lives at all.

There are also a few U.S. territories — Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands — that do not observe DST and stay on standard time all year long.

But, everyone else, get prepared for my favorite time change of the entire year!
