Yellowstone National Park is experiencing unprecedented dangerous flooding right now which has forced the park to close all entrances.

As of right now, they expect that the park will remain closed to visitors until at least Wednesday, and even then I am not sure you would be able to go very far!

Some people were able to be evacuated, but some locals were left trapped and they don’t even have access to safe drinking water!

Residents have been advised to avoid drinking local water because of a water main break and submerged wells.

Our first priority has been to evacuate the northern section of the park where we have multiple road and bridge failures, mudslides and other issues.

Yellowstone Superintendent Cam Sholly said in a statement Monday

It isn’t only Yellowstone that has been affected, there are cities in Park County Montana that are also having horrible flooding.

There are roads and bridges that have been washed out and evacuation and travel aren’t safe at this time.

The Yellowstone River is at a record high right now and it runs through Yellowstone National Park as well as Park County cities.

Steve Rupno

I have watched several videos showing the washed-out roads and bridges and I can’t imagine that those areas of the park will be able to reopen anytime soon.

This is some serious damage and I can’t even begin to imagine how stressful and scary this is for those families that are trapped there right now.
