They completely protect your feet from the bottom of the pool! After walking around with my sons in the shallow end of the pool for a couple of days in a row that pool bottom seems to wear down the skin on my feet causing them to be very sensitive, to the point that I would wear an older pair of Nikes in the pool. I purchased this shoe to take on a trip to the beach. I don’t like to wear flip flops in sand as it rubs blisters on me. It worked great on our walk around the island. The rubber sole was grippy and I felt safe that I wouldn’t cut my foot on any small trash in the sand. This is a thin sole. You can feel the things you are walking on.

Love love love these!! Can’t believe I have lived life without them for so many years! Here’s the thing, I don’t like wearing water shoes. They are usually too heavy and bulky and I can feel the water go through them. It just weighs me down when swimming. However, I also don’t like running across the beach with the scolding sand burning my feet since I refuse to wear heavy water shoes. Problem solved with these! These are like a glove for your feet. They fit like a nylon sock and have light rubber treat on the bottom. They are so light and breathable on my feet. Easy to carry and wash! Not like other water shoes that get sand stuck in various parts. Highly recommended!! I pack mine for every beach trip and cruise!
