How To Make A Copycat Starbucks Lemon Pound Cake At Home

If you’re anything like me, you’re staying at home to be safe. But that also mean you’re missing out on your Starbucks fix.

One of my favorite pastries from Starbucks is the Lemon Pound Cake.

The good news is that you can make some from home!

The ingredients for the cake are:

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 ounce of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 ounces of sour cream
  • 1/3 cup of lemon juice

The ingredients for the glaze are:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoonsof lemon juice
  • 1 lemon

How To Make The Lemon Pound Cake

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.

Then spray two loaf pans (9×5) with a non-stick spray.

In one bowl, add the yellow cake mix and dry vanilla pudding.

In another bowl, add the vegetable oil, eggs, sour cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest and whisk it up like crazy.

Add the contents of the second bowl to the first bowl and stir until completely mixed.

Put the mixture in the two loaf pans and cook in the over for 45 minutes or until fully cooked with a light browning around the edges.

For the glaze, you just need to combine all of the glaze ingredients until fully mixed. If the texture is too runny for your taste, just add a little more powdered sugar for a thicker constancy.
