Attention all crafters! You have to see this! No seriously…it’ll amaze you.
I mean, I know a lot of people have had more time to work on their crafts with all of this staying at home stuff going on, but this takes the cake!
Crocheting has been such a hot topic lately and to me, this is the best one yet!
Lindadi Creations is the Italian artist behind this masterpiece. She recently shared this AMAZING aquarium that she made entirely out of yarn on social media and we are just eating it up!
The glass aquarium is filled with beautifully detailed sea animals and plants that the artist crocheted during this time of distancing.
She started in April by showing piece by piece, all of the items she was making to fill up this masterpiece.
The artist not only showed her progress, she also attached the patterns she used so anyone who wants to try their hand at making any of the pieces can do so. Talk about being amazing AND a sweetheart!
And if you aren’t the crafty type and just want to buy these, not make these, Linda sells some of her art online here.
“For 25 years we have always had an aquarium with fish at home … very demanding to clean and maintain,” Linda told Bored Panda. “Unfortunately, in the spring I lost my husband,” the artist shared personal details, “So during the last summer the aquarium remained so, like my life, meaningless”. “The fish started to die, so one day looking at him I said “when the last fish dies, I will do it all in crochet, I will leave a nice memory of me to the children, not a commitment to stay behind,” she explained.
“On Christmas day the last fish was dead,” the woman told Bored Panda, “I started to empty it and clean everything, gravel, amphorae, stones, etc.”
And that is where the idea came for her to knit her aquarium! She started scouring the internet for some patterns for various sea animals and plants and if she couldn’t find something, she’d make a pattern herself!
And slowly but surely, her aquarium came to colorful life! I am still so amazingly impressed and need one of these in my life. Be sure to follow her on Facebook and check out all of the amazing projects you can do or buy from her!
