Former President Donald Trump Has Been Indicted by A New York Grand Jury
News just broke that former President Donald Trump, has been indicted by a New York Grand Jury.
While this is something that even Donald Trump saw coming, many are shocked to see it actually happened.
As it turns out, this indictment is historic, marking the first time ever that a former US president and major presidential candidate has ever been criminally charged.
What is Donald Trump being indicted for?
According to reports, a Manhattan grand jury has indicted Donald Trump for his involvement in a hush money scheme involving Donald Trump and adult film star Stormy Daniels.
The charges relate to a $130,000 payment made by Trump’s personal attorney at the time, Michael Cohen that was given to Stormy Daniels in late October 2016 just days before the 2016 presidential election.
The money was to silence her from going public about an alleged affair with Trump a decade earlier, although Trump has denied the affair.
Donald Trump faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud in this indictment.
Donald Trump responded to the indictment in a statement earlier today saying:

What happens next now that Donald Trump has been indicted?
Now that Donald Trump has been indicted, he will need to surrender himself.
A spokesperson for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg released a statement Thursday saying the office has contacted Trump’s attorney to “coordinate his surrender” for arraignment on “a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal.”
And in case you’re wondering, this does mean that Donald Trump would likely be arrested, taken into custody and have his fingerprints and mug shot taken.
Basically, just like a traditional booking for anyone being charged with a felony.
Trump is expected to appear in court Tuesday for his arraignment and we will know more then.
