Lucky Brand Has Filed For Bankruptcy. Here’s The List Of Stores Closing.
Another retail store is filing for bankruptcy and it is so sad to see.
Since the virus, a handful of big name retailers are shutting down.
To name a few, J.C. Penny, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and now Lucky Brand, are all experiencing closures across the country.
If you haven’t heard of this retail store, Lucky Brand is a clothing store that specializes in jeans, but also sells other types of clothing as well.
The store announced bankruptcy on Friday with plans to sell the business to the SPARC Group, who is the operator of Aéropostale and Nautica according to a press release.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted sales across all channels,” said Matthew A. Kaness, interim CEO and executive chairman, in a statement. “While we are optimistic about the reopening of stores and our customers’ return, the business has yet to recover fully.”

It is shocking to see how many stores and not just in retail, who are shutting down from the effects of the virus.
Many companies who I never thought would file for bankruptcy such as CEC Entertainment or CMX Cinemas, are struggling to keep their businesses open. We need to continue to wear our masks, social distance and keep up with good hygiene to stop this virus.
