This psychological thriller miniseries comes to us from Germany, and is based on a best-selling book by Romy Hausmann.
It is perfect for the Halloween season, and I guarantee you this show is going to make you want to sleep with the lights on.
What Is Netflix’s New Psychological Thriller About?
The show starts with a woman — Lena — running through the forest in her pajamas, obviously trying to escape.
She is hit by a car as she makes her getaway, and wakes up, battered and bruised, in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
But, Lena doesn’t remember anything — her name, where she is, how long she’s been there, why she’s injured, or even who the child is that’s with her.
Hannah keeps calling her Mama, so she has to be her daughter, right?
Things start to go a bit sideways when police start questioning what happened.
Hannah talks about a set of rules that “he” has set up, and, for some reason, the child is super sensitive to light.
And, turns out, Lena’s name isn’t actually Lena at all, as Hannah has claimed, but Jasmin.
What the heck is actually going on here?
But, wait. Things get even more eerie when the detective starts to wonder if this injured woman just might be the “Lena” who went missing years before.
