Netflix’s Newest Drama Received A Rare 0% Score On Rotten Tomatoes and I’m Glad I Didn’t Watch It

Were you unlucky enough to chew your way through watching the new Netflix original movie, The Last Days of American Crime?

For the first time in EVER the Rotten Tomatoes website — famous for having hundreds of critic reviews on every film known to man — has given a movie a 0%. That is not only BAD, it is as bad as you can get!

The movie that got such bad reviews just HAPPENS to be the new Netflix feature, The Last Days of American Crime. That’s a shame, because it looked like it might be good.

That 0% score comes from the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer. “The Tomatometer score – based on the opinions of hundreds of film and television critics – is a trusted measurement of critical recommendation for millions of fans.”

This film is based on the graphic novel by Rick Remender, but not one single critic enjoyed the film. NOT ONE. This is unprecedented!

The film came out on the streaming service last Friday. “21 reviews for the film have been submitted to Rotten Tomatoes and every single one of them is negative.” Everyone HATED it.

Netflix is usually known for making the best of the best when it comes to original programming, but definitely not in THIS case. I guess you really can’t win them all. If you are going to suck, it’s better to go down in burning flames. Ha!

Now, according to comicbook.com, 126 users from the general public have reviewed The Last Days of American Crime, and of those everyday movie watchers 23% DID give the film a positive review — so that’s a BIT better. Not much, but it’s something.

According to IMDB, The Last Days of American Crime has a promising premise: “In the not-too-distant future, as a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.”

But sometimes, even the most promising films fall flat. And, fall flat, this film indeed does!
