Everyone on the internet thinks that brooms are standing up on their own and that NASA is behind the viral trend sweeping social media.

But that isn’t actually the case…

I tried it in our basement laundry room and in our upstairs kitchen and sure enough, both times the broom stood upright by itself.

And no, I don’t have any ghosts in my house, at least not any cleaning ghosts.

So, why is this happening?

Well, there are a lot of different theories, but it turns out that it’s not nearly as exciting as everyone is making it out to be.

Lots of people say that is has something to do with the gravity or the way the earth is titled right now.

And that NASA is the one that told everyone about it. Well, they didn’t. You can check out their twitter account here. Broom free.

Others say it happens every time we have a Spring Equinox well, guess what… that isn’t until March.

The truth is, it has nothing to do with gravity. It’s more the way the broom bristles sit inside your broom.

And as it turns out, it can be done anytime of the year, for no reason at all.

Go ahead, give it a try and see if works!
